Behind the walls of Randsfjorden Gjestegård, among friends called Randen,  there are exciting stories and many plans for tomorrow. When you stay at Randen - then you feel the pulse of the good life.

Our idyllic hotel is located on the Randsfjord, less than 1.5 hour from Gardermoen airport or Oslo, surrounded by one of Norway´s most splendid 18 holes golf courses. A short walk to the water, where you can swim or fish or rent a rowingboat. You can use the beautiful woods to go for walks, you can pick flowers, berries and even mushrooms. In the winter you can go skiing, skating or ice-fishing.

We have pleasant and well equipped rooms for seminars or exiting cultural events, and we have large and beautiful rooms for parties.  Besides all that we have comfortable beds in pleasant rooms - and a kitchen that makes your taste buds smile.  To top it all - a staff that is there to make you feel welcome.

When you want a really good sleep

You might wake up to unusual sounds here at Randen. Maybe it is the first   cuckoo of the spring testing it´s voice or maybe it is just  a golfer out early who hit the ball for once. 

We have to warn  you of the chance of oversleeping, because the beds are new, comfortable and waiting to be used. The rooms are nice and cozy  - but you ought to spend most of your time outdoors - or in the restaurant together with other people. But when time comes to sleep,  we want you to sleep well …

Here you get good size helpings of food made with love for the a good, real taste. In other words, food from the heart.

Food that makes your taste buds smile. Food you don´t see at every petrol station or every roadside cafe. Food to make your senses really active. Food made by chefs really dedicated to cooking.

If you are camping or staying with friends in the neighbourhood, then you may also order food delivered to your door - warm or cold dishes - or lovely food for grander occasions. Talk to us about your special wishes, or chose from our menus.

We have nature´s own TV-programs on all channels. With you playing the main part.

We don´t have unlimited TV-channels, but we have a range of programs you may choose from: The trout jumping in the lake, elks that might walk past your window, sheep and lambs looking for company. At the end of the lake you can see the snowcapped hills of Synfjell, you might hear bumblebees buzzing with not a care in the world, wooden boats chugging along, the woods are full of eatable berries, there is a golf course - STOPP! A golf course here? Yes, it´s true - 18 holes, exciting, demanding and fun. Hole no. 5 is just by the waters edge, the first and the last hole just outside our front door. FORE!
